In order to decouple European agriculture’s dependence on protein imports, a series of projects have been launched by the Prima research consortium. The ILU is involved in the CIPROMED project. Background to CIPROMED: The EU and the Mediterranean countries in particular are looking for sustainable and locally available alternative sources of protein. The idea of the project is to integrate insect farming and microalgae cultivation into the Mediterranean value chains.
A webinar is now being held on the project and the two other Prima projects ProxIMed and FunTomP > On 20 February at 1 pm
